If you head west on the Costa del Sol from Malaga Airport, after about an hours car journey you will leave the province of Malaga and enter the province of Cadiz. This is the area that the Get Spain Sotogrande property finding service starts and stretches down to La Linea and inland to Jimena de la Frontera.

With the new agreements surrounding the joint usage of Gibraltar Airport between the British and the Spanish it is expected that the demand for property in this area of the Costa del Sol will increase dramatically.

La Linea

Located at the most southern point of Spain the town of La Linea has grown from a sleepy village to a bustling border town complete with new restaurants, beaches and fantastic investment property opportunities.

There is a real cosmopolitan feel to La Linea with people of all nationalities setting up home in the town.

Santa Margarita

Although really classed as La Linea, Santa Margarita has become a favorite with property investors. Santa Margarita is situated just to the east of La Linea and has a superb choice of new developments ranging from completed to off plan. The village of Santa Margarita starts on the hill and rolls down towards the sandy beaches.

Jimena de la Frontera

Jimena de la Frontera is an inland village popular with property buyers looking for something a little more authentic and cut off from the main drag of the Costa del Sol. It is located between the inland town of Gaucin and the coastal port of Algeciras.

San Roque

Just outside of La Linea is the Spanish town of San Roque. This town has remained a very authentic Spanish town despite the development that has gone on around it. Properties here are few and far between but offer a real taste of Spain.

The town of San Roque should not be confused with the prestigious San Roque Golf Resort, which is located a few kms further along towards Sotogrande.

Alcaidesa

After the town of San Roque as you head in the direction of Sotogrande is the the urbanisation of Alcaidesa. As well as having one of Spain's only links golf courses and one of the only golf courses to be situated overlooking the beach, it is an extremely popular area for golf property and investment properties.

Sotogrande

Sotogrande is one of the most prestigious areas of the entire Costa del Sol. It boasts a beautiful and stylish port area where the Spanish upperclass come to relax and enjoy the ambience from one of the portside cafés or bars.

Sotogrande has two sides, the port area and the golf side. All properties in Sotogrande are luxurious and more expensive than other parts of the Costa del Sol but in Sotogrande you are buying pure luxury.
